It’s your Wedding Day, it took months maybe over a year to get to this day. The level of anxiety you may be feeling might be overwhelming to the point you probably wanted to call things off a couple of times already. Hey maybe you already did and now you’re looking for a little bit of motivation. I’d like to share with you some tips on how to stay organized on the magic day. You have so much to try and remember so I’ll keep these notes brief and to the point.

  • Create a schedule for yourself if possible and provide some wiggle room in between each thing you do

    • Factor what time you want to wake up, have breakfast, a moment for yourself to reflect on the day, and a break between each major point of the wedding begins

  • Have a light breakfast and stay hydrated. It may be difficult to do anything due to all the nerves and excitement. But you want to make sure you have something in your tummy so you are energized for the long day ahead & hydrated so your make up sticks to your skin and remain looking refreshed.

  • Make sure you have your wedding dress and accessories laid out for the photographer if they are capturing these little details for a video or pictures. In the event your photographer isn’t doing this it is still good to have everything from your dress down to your shoes all ready in one location.

    • Wedding Dress

    • Shoes

    • Garters

    • Jewelry (not the wedding ring, it isn’t time yet lol)

    • Bridal Bouquet

  • Play music through out the day. Having a wedding playlist is like having a soundtrack to a movie. This is your movie, you definitely should have some of your favorite songs played through the day to keep you pumped. If not maybe have a bridesmaid help with selecting a pre-made playlist.

  • Request your Bridesmaids get dressed first. Seeing them looking there best will be motivating for you to move along with e process as well. But this also reinforces that the idea that “the best is always saved for last”. Be sure to get our hair done before your make up so your make up is fresh before the beginning of the wedding and work in an area with great natural lighting when working on your makeup and taking photos.

  • Request your Bridesmaids Pack up everything for you. The following items should be packed in the event of an emergency.

    • First Aid Kit/Band-Aids

    • Hairspray

    • Shampoo

    • Clear Nail Polish

    • Shampoo

    • Water/Snacks

    • Aspirin

    • Lip Balm/Gloss

    • Mints

    • Tissues

    • Small Sewing Kit

  • Start your day with a glass of Mimosa or your favorite drink. Of course if an alcoholic drink isn’t something you indulge in choose a drink that’ll help you feel good as you get ready.

  • Remember to make time to take pictures. As you get ready and once you’re ready, it’s important you capture some of these moments.

  • Enjoy the time you spend with your girls. These are your last moments being single with your girls, definitely makes some memories with them.

  • Spend a little bit of time alone to gather your thought. It’s a big day, you definitely want to take in the day as it will be exhausting. But remember you got this, remember to have fun.

And that concludes the tips I have to offer, feel free to share some tips you may have. Let me know if there are any other topics you may want me to cover.
